INDUCTING NEW PERSONNEL WITH VIDEO

The quickest and most effective way to successfully communicate key information.  Your existing process may take several hours. This time consuming procedure may have to be repeated numerous times throughout the day to accommodate new operatives turning up at random times.  This is not just an inefficient use of your time but can also create delays or prevent new operatives from starting work, ultimately wasting money. With video we can hone this process down to just 30 minutes!

The main advantages of an induction video are:

  • It can be played at any time of the day or night, to as many or as few new operatives as required.
  • It ensures the CLEAR, CONCISE, CONSISTENT delivery of key information.
  • It delivers this key information QUICKLY, in a MEMORABLE format.
  • Our videos are ENTERTAINING, ENGAGING and INFORMATIVE.

We produce generic induction videos featuring the traditional Health and safety issues but also make site specific induction videos highlighting key issues that are unique to a particular project such as airports or working near water.

Please visit the INDUCTION VIDEOS page for more details and information.

Construction Showreel

We can creatively blend video, time lapse, drone footage and animation together to create a fascinating video document that illustrates your project or business in an innovative, captivating format.

Blum

With this relatively short time lapse of just four weeks, we captured the installation of solar panels on the roof of the Blum factory in Milton Keynes. We used four cameras, two on each roof level to capture the work. We then filmed the finished project with our drone, combining the time lapse footage with the drone video to create this video.

Kopron

Kopron Sport is the Kopron division specialising in the construction of canopies and tensile structures designed for sports facilities. We documented the construction of the laminated timber arches and the subsequent covering and then moved the cameras inside the structure to capture the re-surfacing of the tennis courts.

Kensa Contracting

In the summer of 2019 Croydon Council declared a climate emergency. Later that year they started a pilot project with Kensa Contracting to replace electric storage heaters with low carbon ground source heat pumps. This case study Documents the story.

Buhler

Buhler asked us to document the installation of this state of the art vertical storage system. We installed three DSLR cameras for a period of two months to capture the work from three unique angles. The footage was edited together along with animated motion graphics and text to highlight key information.

L&Q

We are currently filming a number of case studies for L&Q.  We filmed Jade and Ollie at the Birnam Mews development in Stratford-Upon-Avon. This version included subtitles so it can be played in the sales suite.

L&Q

We are currently filming a number of case studies for L&Q.  We filmed Bryony at their Willow Grove development in Bedford.

L&Q

L&Q is a housing association operating in Greater London, South East England and East Anglia. It is one of the largest housing associations in London. We filmed this case study at their Beaulieu development in Chelmsford. Christina and Stuart, and their two boys, were a joy to work with, enabling us to produce this short video illustrating the advantages of Shared Ownership offered by L&Q

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION

Such is our dedication to our craft that we sacrificed our Christmas dinner and Santa’s visit so we could film this installation. The 66 metre-long, 350-tonne steel Carpenters Land Bridge was installed on Christmas Day. Work began at 3.30am and was completed by 3.30pm that afternoon.

The bridge was manoeuvred into place using self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs). The bridge deck was transported on the SPMTs along Carpenters Road in a jacked-up position. It was supported on the SPMTs in a cantilever arrangement with a large counterweight of 450 tonnes to balance the bridge during installation.

We supplied video, photography, time lapse and drone coverage of the event.

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION

The brand new station was opened to the public for the first time in over 50 years since its closure during the Beeching cuts in the 1960’s. Film Infinity created this video case study for Graham using video, time lapse and drone footage. We also supplied a portfolio of high resolution photographs for their marketing and social media channels.

VISION MODULAR

Vision Modular Systems UK Limited manufactures volumetric 3D structural modules for the Construction Industry to be used in sectors such as Hotels, Residential Apartment Buildings, Student Accommodation, Worker Accommodation and Hospital Bedrooms.  We documented the entire production process and then the journey from Bedford to Wembley. We then filmed the installation of the final module using video, time lapse and drones. This involved four crew members strategically positioned to capture the action in the most dramatic fashion. We visited the site prior to the installation so we could carefully plan our filming , ensuring the client got the best possible film.

CASELLA

Casella is dedicated to reducing occupational and environmental health risks through effective monitoring solutions. Casella prides itself on providing precision instrumentation since 1799, supplying eminent figures including David Livingstone and Charles Darwin with instrumentation for exploration and scientific work.  We combined video footage and animation to illustrate this promotional video.

“The team at Film Infinity have helped us produce some excellent videos to promote products in the Casella range. In order to communicate key features during a product launch, Film Infinity can provide valuable input to script writing and ensuring content is suitable, polished and valuable to our customers. Its tricky for someone not used to producing videos to visualise the best way of getting your point across and Film Infinity really help with that, supplementing video with animation to get technical points across. Our launch schedules are often challenging, Film Infinity work to  produce a film we are proud of in challenging time scales”

Tim Turney-Global Marketing Manager, Casella

CURO HOUSING GROUP

We have been documenting the Mulberry Park housing development with Curo for several years now.

CURO HOUSING GROUP

We spoke with excited local residents about their incredible new community centre, The Hub.

CURO HOUSING GROUP

Alongside video production, we currently have five time lapse cameras on site recording the construction of the remaining housing phases.

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION AND NETWORK RAIL

We worked with Graham and Network Rail to document two simultaneous bridge replacement projects over the May 2018 Bank holiday. We had a large crew covering both sites operating 24 hours a day.  We installed time lapse cameras prior to the weekend and shot both video and photography from the ground and from the air using drones.  We also utilised several mobile time lapse cameras to capture key events in more detail.

VISION MODULAR SYSTEMS AND POCKET LIVING

We were commissioned by POCKET to document the complete production and installation process from start to finish.  After visiting the factory we decided that it would be interesting to mount the camera on a fixed rig mounted in the same position on each stage of the production process.  Working inside a busy factory has its challenges, especially than the posts are moving around on rails. We mounted a camera inside the module during transit to record the journey to site and the lifting procedure, whilst simultaneously filming the lifting from the ground.

LAGAN CONSTRUCTION/CNIM

Construction of the £205m state-of-the-art Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) at the existing landfill and recycling site in Beddington, Sutton, commenced in 2015.  This was extremely challenging video to make due to the high level of traffic on site, up to 500 deliveries a day!  Safety was paramount, our vast experience working on busy construction sites came to the fore on this project.

MACE

This drone footage was used by Mace to show all the project stakeholders an update of progress of their development in Camden, North London.

PIPEX PX

Pipex PX wanted a short time lapse video to document the installation of a new footbridge. The winter storms of 2015 caused extensive damage to the sea defences at Dover including 250 metres of railway line. This resulted in 40 million pounds worth of emergency works over the next 12 months. Pipex PX designed and manufactured the unique Hybrid FRP pedestrian footbridge.  This work was done during the Christmas period to minimise disruption to the train timetable. The video combines time lapse, video, drone, animation and stills photography   We can provide all these services. Pedestrians and their dogs now have safe access to the beach!

CREST NICHOLSON

Crest Nicholson wanted to utilise both time lapse and drone footage to document this unique new method of quickly constructing large houses.

TITAN PROPERTY

We documented the construction process of these luxury flats with time lapse. Once the show flat was ready we created this short sales promotional video.

POCKET LIVING

Once the flats had been completed we went back to film one of the very happy new home owners!

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION

GRAHAM commissioned us to capture a momentous event in South London.  The installation of the new Tennison Road Bridge near Norwood Junction was a construction industry first.  The new 565 tonne bridge was ‘pushed’ horizontally over operational rail lines. To document this unique event took a great deal of planning. We had up to five crew members on site at one time filming, photographing and flying drones overhead enabling us to deliver a stunning piece of work which the client was delighted with. We started documenting this project in April 2014, visiting once a month to photograph its progress and attending major stages of the build to film and fly the drones

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION TESTIMONIAL

Rory McFadden was kind enough to spare some time filming his thoughts about working with us on this momentous project

DENTON ASSOCIATES

DENTON ASSOCIATES commissioned us to capture the fit-out process of these new offices for Gallup in the prestigious Shard.  We installed four DSLR cameras to capture the works over a three month period.  It was difficult to concentrate on the work in hand as the views are truly spectacular and we couldn’t help ourselves watching in awe at the action in the city below.

CURO

We are capturing the whole development process over the next 10 years. So far we have documented the area prior to demolition and the full demolition process.
The site was mainly single storey wooden huts which have been demolished over the past few months after the removal of any asbestos. For a successful time lapse, ideally you require high viewpoints. The problem was that there is none!! The existing two storey buildings disappeared quite quickly so we erected our own scaffold towers to accommodate four cameras. The cameras and mobile towers are currently on the site documenting the house building process.

COEL

The brief was to record the entire six week fit out from at least two angles, capturing the installation of the walls right through to the delivery and installation of the furniture. This particular project required a great deal of thought as the interior of the building was to be divided up into smaller office spaces as the fit-out progressed.  It was critical where we placed our cameras.  We sat down with the Project Manager to study the plans and scheduling so we could formulate a plan for our camera positioning and timings.

DENTON ASSOCIATES

DENTON ASSOCIATES commissioned us to capture the fit-out process of these new offices for LinkedIn on New Oxford Street.  We installed three DSLR cameras to capture the works over a three month period.  We had to re-position the cameras several times throughout the process due to the installation of new walls. At the start of a project we study the schedules and plans of the intended works and plan our camera positions accordingly.

GRAHAM CONSTRUCTION/LAGAN CONSTRUCTION
The scheme includes infilling one third of Alexandra Dock with 780,000 m3 of material and reclaiming 7.5 ha of the river to create a new 650m quay wall, which can accommodate three offshore wind installation vessels. We were commissioned to produce an induction film incorporating footage from their existing generic induction film but also filming new site specific chapters that would highlight health and safety issues unique to this project. The object was to produce an induction film that would speed up the induction process but still deliver clear, concise information in a engaging, entertaining manner.
