We all fall into one two groups, those who eat to live and those who live to eat!!

Increasingly we are using food video web sites to seek inspiration and recipes. Exploring and discovering new cuisines and techniques.  Set the tablet up on the work top, press play and off you go. An easy way to create new dishes and get inspired.  It started with Tasty and Buzzfeed but now the big boys are getting in on the act. BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is the largest home appliance manufacturer in Europe, including global brands Bosch and Siemens, Gaggenau and Neff. BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is acquiring 65 percent of shares of Berlin startup Kitchen Stories

THE RISE OF THE FOOD VIDEO     Photography by Tony Briscoe

“Cooking should be an easy and enjoyable experience. That’s the whole reason why BSH Hausgeräte GmbH develops smart products and related services. And with the same goal, the two young founders of Kitchen Stories have been developing high-quality recipes, together with videos and step-by-step photo instructions that encourage users to try out those recipes. BSH and Kitchen Stories will begin working together immediately to offer spare-time cooks and ambitious amateur chefs new experiences related to cooking in the increasingly connected kitchen world”

Influential cultural magazine VICE now has its own FOOD web site Munchies as does the New York Times

Here at Film Infinity we are taking more and more enquiries for food rated content. Recently we have made videos for Heinz, Unilever, Kerrymaid, McCain and Del Monte. Most of these are shot on the same model as Tasty and Buzzfeed, from above and lasting 30-60 seconds.  This is a format that works because it is very simple and impactful. Adding simple text graphics explaining technique and listing the ingredients means these short videos convey a lot of information in a bitesize format.
