English Heritage

We have been very lucky to work with English Heritage a few times recently. We have just made this tour of the vibrant gardens of Down House in Kent, once home to Charles Darwin and his family, with head gardener Antony O’Rourke. 

It was not just a real pleasure making this video but fascinating listening and talking with Anthony about Darwins time at the house.

On the English Heritage YouTube channel the video has had over 12000 views and generated some really nice comments!

The Wine Society

This was shot to promote the launch of their fine wine series, a limited release of fine wines, 10 years in the making.

We had great fun shooting these shots, experimenting with moving the lights instead of the camera.

To celebrate The Wine Society’s 150th Anniversary they are releasing a series of limited edition wines.

We have made several videos to announce the launch of these wines and will be producing more during 2024.

Quebestor

Qubestor is an independent, established supplier of Pallet Racking, Dynamic Storage, Shelving and Mezzanine Floors. We were asked to install three time lapse cameras to document the installation of racking in a 1500,000 square foot warehouse. We combined this footage with client testimonial interviews and graphics highlighting the key facts and figures of the project.

L&Q

L&Q is a housing association operating in Greater London, South East England and East Anglia. It is one of the largest housing associations in London. We filmed this case study at their Beaulieu development in Chelmsford. Christina and Stuart, and their two boys, were a joy to work with, enabling us to produce this short video illustrating the advantages of Shared Ownership offered by L&Q

Andusia

Andusia is the UK’s largest independent exporter, offering a full and flexible supply chain solution for collecting and delivering RDF (Refused Derived Fuel is a fuel produced from a range of waste) from UK producers to the energy from waste plants in Europe.

We shot at Immingham Docks, Leeds, Hertford and Oslo to make a suite of videos that explain how the process of turning everyday household waste into energy.

We added several animation elements to reflect the illustrations featured on the Andusia web site

Kensa Heat Pumps

Kensa Heat Pumps manufactures the UK’s widest range of ground source heat pumps and accessories.  Combining engineering ingenuity and years of ground source expertise, every heat pump in the Kensa range has been designed and tested to exacting standards for optimum efficiency and ease of use.  We created this animation to explain exactly how ground source heat pumps work and how they are installed.  Our sister company Time lapse Video Solutions is currently recording a time lapse video of the process.

Active Luton Inspire-Hydra Health

We were asked to make another video for Active Luton to promote their new Hydra Health programme. This pool based exercise programme is designed to rehabilitate people with short or long term health conditions such as strokes, hip replacements, joint injuries, diabetes or osteoarthritis.

Henry Moore Foundation

In 1986 Henry Moore created his largest and his last, monumental sculpture. Still at the Morris Singer foundry at the time of Moore’s death, the bronze surfaces were left unpatinated. In 2011, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Moore’s death, Large Figure in a Shelter was fully restored and patinated for the first time, using Moore’s own techniques. It was a fantastic project for us to be involved with and we relished each visit to the Henry Moore Foundation at Perry Green.  It was fascinating working alongside James Copper (the Foundation conservator) watching the restoration process unfold over the weeks.  It was an assignment that we will never forget!

Large Figure in a Shelter was Moore’s last and largest sculpture and required complete surface sanding and repatination. The filming necessitated a number of visits over several weeks to ensure that each stage of the process was recorded. The result is probably the most useful educational film on bronze sculpture restoration ever made and provides a unique insight into the techniques passed down by Moore’s own assistants and still in use today.”

Casella manufacture personal air sampling pumps, enabling clients to monitor their employees’ personal exposure to dust, gases and vapours.  We filmed on location in Bedford. Initially we created the rough-cut edit featuring just the video footage. Our animator Chris added the motion graphics and animation elements. Finally the voiceover recording was mixed with the music soundtrack to create this short promotional video.

Aga-London Spitalfields store

Aga London wanted a short video to promote their store in the fashionable area of London called Spitalfields. They wanted to combine time lapse footage of the area with interior shots of the store.

Active Luton Inspire-Luton Gets in the Swim of Things

We made this video to promote the many swimming facilities on offer in Luton.  Following extensive customer research Active Luton identified a number of issues that needed to be addressed. Ultimately the aim of the video was to get more people swimming.  We filmed at three sites Lewsey Park, Lea Manor and Stopsley

Gearhouse Broadcast

Gearhouse Broadcast is a market leader in delivering equipment rental, equipment sales, outside broadcast, project solutions and systems integration to many of the world’s most respected broadcasters, production companies and rights holders. They asked us to to document the fit-out of their latest OB truck in readiness for its export to America.  We had five time lapse cameras running simultaneously covering audio, engineering, production, the tail section and the racking.

Active Luton Inspire

We made this video to promote the world class diving facilities available at Inspire Active Luton.  The brief included interviews with members of the diving club and introductions to the diving coaches Sam and Hayley.  It was great fun to make, the people involved were just amazing to work with.  No doubt the star of the show was Skye, her enthusiasm, energy and smile summed up the diving club.  Working near water does present some challenging filming conditions.  We recently invested in the superb RONIN DJI 3-AXIS STABILIZED HANDHELD GIMBAL SYSTEM or in simpler terms….a camera stabilisation system.  Read more on our BLOG

Baxi Boilers

We produced a suite of 22 films for Baxi, illustrating everything from installation, fault finding and aftercare. We shot the films over three days at the Baxi Training Centre in Dartford.  The success of a project of this nature relies on thorough planning due to the complexity and number of edits. Jay, our superb Production Assistant did a stellar job studying vast amounts of A3 spreadsheets which featured both scripts and shot lists. We were ably assisted by Mick Gibbons and Dave Driver (the next Pacino and De Niro) who not only starred in the films but were invaluable regarding technical accuracy.

Localz/John Lewis

We produced a short film for Localz who develop click and collect technology. Shot at the prestigious Peter Jones store on Sloane Square and utilising our new “floating” camera rig and featuring motion graphics.

Rhythms of the World Festival

We utilised the hyperlapse technique to conduct a whitsle stop tour of the Rhythms of the World festival.  Normally the camera would be fixed to a tripod, but in this case its is mounted onto a ‘floating’, moveable camera rig.  The rig features sophisticated gimbals which keep the camera level at all time despite the movements of the operator. We have sponsored this festival for the past four years.

This is one of a large suite of films we produced for the LightwaveRF smart home technology range.  This technology enables the user to control the lighting and heating in their home remotely via their tablet, pc or smartphone.

Fast Forward Time/Lanparte

A video featuring the excellent Lanparte DSLR Camera Rig. Beautifully engineered, ergonomic and just a great piece of kit for film making. This a promotional video we shot for www.fastforwardtime.co.uk who import and sell high quality DSLR camera rigs. They wanted to highlight the excellent build quality and versatility within an instructional format.

Redcoats Farmhouse Hotel

Redcoats Farmhouse Hotel & Restaurant is a magnificent place, parts of which date back to 1480, situated in the tiny hamlet of Redcoats Green, with delightful gardens set in rolling Hertfordshire countryside. We made this promotional video over several visits to document the many aspects of the hotel and its facilities. It was a joy to make…they serve Adnams in the bar!

Syrris

Film Infinity shot seven web videos for Syrris Asia Flow Chemistry Systems. We combined live action with animated screen grabs and graphics to illustrate the capabilities of the Asia range.

Fast Forward Time/Lanparte

Really enjoyed shooting this short little ‘teaser’ video for fastforwardtime.co.uk. We kept it simple, black velvet backdrop, one softbox from above and some slick slider camera movements. The music is by Tom Fahy, which I found on the Vimeo music site, which we thought was perfect.

Endure24/Mizuno

We helped Endure24 and Mizuno create this awesome video of the 2016 event at Wasing Park.  Mizuno are headline sponsor of this unique event in the running calendar that mixes serious ultra-running with a 24 hour team relay race.  Virtually anyone of any ability level can take part and enjoy a challenging but rewarding weekend of trail running. The five mile race route through Wasing Woods is incredibly scenic and ends with a loop around the campsite where the awesome support from your fellow runners never stops.
