WE ENCOURAGE A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH, DEVELOPING YOUR IDEAS AND CREATING A PLAN OF ACTION.
We appreciate that commissioning a video can be a little daunting so we have set out below the basic steps that will help you through the process. Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what you want, we are an innovative video production company that love to create exciting new concepts. We encourage a collaborative approach, developing your ideas and creating a plan of action.
The first step is to compile a BRIEF. This helps us understand your needs. Keep it short, but identify the following:
- What is the aim of the video? To inform, sell or motivate?
- Who is your target audience?
- What is the message you want to convey? What you want to say and to whom, will form the basis of your script.
- Where will the video be shown? On a website or at a Trade show?
- What is your timescale? When does the video need to be delivered by?
- Filming? What is the availability of staff, locations and resources?
- Do you have any specific requirements? Motion graphics, special effects or animation?
- Budget? It’s good to have an idea of what you want to spend. Clients are often surprised about how much they can get for their money.
- How do you want the video to look? This is called the “treatment”. Have you seen something that you like? Think about a Voiceover and Music.

HERE IS A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO VIDEO PRODUCTION
1. BRIEF
Identify what do you want to say and to whom? This helps us understand your requirements, enabling us to create a successful concept and a sympathetic style that will achieve your targets.
2. PROPOSAL
We develop an appropriate visual idea that will satisfy your requirements. We formulate a ‘treatment’ (the style and look of the video) that will make your story visually exciting and engaging.
3. ESTIMATED COSTINGS
We will work with you to maximise you budget. The cost of your production depends on the complexity of the brief and the length it will take to execute. Our estimates are based on what we think is the most cost effective way to produce your video.
4. SCRIPT
A script dictates what the audience will see and hear. It is the ‘blue print’ of your video. Once approved you can choose a suitable voiceover artist to narrate your story. The voiceover track is then recorded in readiness for editing.
5. STORYBOARD
This is a series of drawings or photos which illustrate each scene in chronological order. This helps you envisage how the video will look and it helps us plan each shot as we can see what is involved in each scene i.e What props are required? How many people do we need?
6. PRE-PRODUCTION
Each shoot day is thoroughly planned so we get the most out of your time and budget. We compile a shoot schedule so everyone involved knows what is happening, when and where? A pre-production meeting allows all the stakeholders the opportunity to meet our production team and discuss the filming in detail.
7. RECCE
Ideally we ‘recce’ the location to assess the shooting environment and meet any key personnel involved during the shoot. This visit enables us to assess the filming conditions and identify problems that may arise and solve them prior to the shoot dates.
8. PRODUCTION
The filming usually involves at least two crew and a car full of equipment! There might be more crew and equipment depending on the complexity and scale of the project. We aim to cause minimal disruption and execute the project quickly, efficiently and professionally.
9. FOOTAGE
The ‘raw’ footage (digital files) are securely backed up and then imported into the editing software together with the voiceover and music tracks.
10. EDITING
We assess and catalogue all the footage and create a ‘rough cut’ edit as per the storyboard, incorporating the voiceover, music and any required graphics and titles. It is uploaded to our secure on-line platform for all stakeholder to view. Depending on the number edits required this will usually be within seven days of the shoot.
11. CLIENT FEEDBACK
Please submit all the required changes (with approximate timings) from all the stakeholders, in one document. We then make any final modifications. Once the edit has been approved we colour grade the footage ensuring all the video is uniform and ready for your audience!.
12. DELIVERY
We can host your High Definition (HD) video ensuring it is always displayed at the very best quality. We can produce hard copies (DVDs or USB sticks) and supply a file format that is suitable to your needs.

“Film Infinity worked closely with us throughout the project to capture time-lapse, real time and drone footage of the project. They have produced a great piece of film”
“We are really happy with the results and it is all down to their enthusiasm and patience. We couldn’t have done it without Film Infinity and we look forward to working with them on the next project”.
“We were delighted with the outcome and we have already had numerous comments on the quality on the video. I would thoroughly recommend Film Infinity and hope to work with the guys again in the near future”
“I cannot say enough to thank Film Infinity for their responsive, professional and dedicated approach to my project. They worked quickly to find the best solution and ensured the process throughout was easy and seamless. I will definitely be using Film Infinity again”
“Film Infinity were relaxed and easy to work with, and kept any disruption to a minimum. They were patient and understanding throughout the whole process. I was very happy with the result and would have no hesitation in recommending them to another NHS hospital”
“We worked with Film Infinity to create a series of promotional films for one of our well established product ranges, and they were fantastic throughout. The amount of equipment they brought with them and levels of professionalism were an instant confidence boost and reassurance that we had made the right decision”
“Film Infinity exceeded our expectations. With a can-do attitude nothing was too much trouble. They are not only great cameramen and producers, but they proved that they could manage any situation. As for the final video, when they sent the first edit through, my reaction was ‘wow!’. In addition to all of this, they were simply just nice people to work with.”
“Film Infinity documented one of the most ambitious conservation projects even undertaken on a work by Henry Moore. Large Figure in a Shelter was Moore’s last and largest sculpture and required complete surface sanding and repatination. The result is probably the most useful educational film on bronze sculpture restoration ever made and provides a unique insight into the techniques passed down by Moore’s own assistants and still in use today”
“Recognising the importance of video as a marketing tool, we were looking to commission a short film to publicise our current exhibition. Film Infinity listened to what we wanted, advised us, and then delivered a stunning piece of work that ticked all the boxes. In essence, they were a joy to work with”
“From the outset, Film Infinity were professional, well organised and flexible. They were able to get the best out of the students as well as providing impartial advice to the School to ensure the best outcome. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome as it manages to both capture the ethos and culture of the School, as well as be informative and entertaining. I would recommend them without hesitation and will be using them again in the future.”
